Earthquake in Haiti

Safe Harbor International is extremely concerned with the thousands of lives that have been adversely affected by the recent earthquake off the coast of Haiti.  Based upon the current disaster context, we understand that the situation on the ground is extremely precarious and is being addressed by the appropriate authorities and international bodies.  Consequently, private relief organizations are finding it very difficult to enter the country.

During this time, Safe Harbor is prayerfully approaching the most effective method of ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ to a people whose lives and families have been devastated by the disaster.  In so doing, Safe Harbor plans to partner with the local church in the sharing of the gospel as well as in distributing relief, particularly in areas that have been overlooked by public and private agencies.  While it is difficult to project a timeline at the moment, we do anticipate that there will be significant work to accomplish throughout the months, and possibly, years ahead.

If you are interested in serving alongside our ministries or partners on the ground, as opportunities arise, please contact us at info@safeharbor.us.  If you wish to donate funds towards this effort, please click here.  Most importantly, please join us in prayer for those affected, for the first responders, and for Safe Harbor as we seek to love our neighbors during their most desperate time of need.
